Dinner!!!
Well, Kimmy, I can’t say that I will write about food everyday in July, but I will tonight!!!
I am making dinner tonight….hurray….and I already made a strawberry pie for dessert! We really don’t have much food in the house so I am going to make Rice and Beans tonight. I am sooooo excited! I LOVE rice and beans. We had it every day in Costa Rica and I miss it so much. I finally figured out how to make it a couple weeks ago and now I am making it for the family. I have a feeling that Dad is going to HATE it, but he said I could make it:-) Anyway, he will like the pie!

Where did my mind come from????
I am known in my family to have extremely odd dreams. Well, it happened again this morning. I say this morning because I woke up around 3:30 and never really went back to sleep until about 6. After that is when I had this dream….it was like the really bad alternate ending to Harry Potter after L.V. is dead. And I really haven’t been thinking of HP lately so I don’t know why I even dreamed about it. So anyway, Ron got bit by some balrog dragon thing and turned into one. He could at time return to be Ron, but not often and he was really mean thereafter. Hermione turned into some sort of little evil witch. But it wasn’t just a witch because obviously she is already a witch but I don’t know how else to describe it. And she wasn’t evil like Bellatrix, it was a different kind of evil. Anywho, she was really mean too. But her transfermation had something to do with a family problem, I’m really not sure. And then Harry got Cho pregnant.
Like I said, I have no idea where this came from. Let’s be thankful that Rowling did not write those books based off of my dreams. Oh, and Elizabeth and I were there too, not sure why. Probably because we were in New York. Also, to add to the weirdness, Melissa’s friend John, was in it too. I haven’t thought of him for years. I’m never quite sure where this mind of mine came from. It does weird things ALL the time.
Maybe I should write down all of my dreams and I could become famous like the idiot who wrote Alice in Wonderland. Sorry to any of you who like that book, but I think it is the dumbest book ever, and whoever decided that it was a classic is ever more stupid. There are few books that when I finish I truly feel as if I’ve wasted my time and that was one of the worst.
Well, I’m off. Kinzy is making a mess with her water colors:-)

Tea Lounge
We are in the cutest little cafe right now. I think I like it better than Friends in Salem….imagine Brooklyn stealing my affections from Salem!!!
So we are in the Tea Lounge eating our breakfast at 11 in the morning! I got a vanilla latte and a chocolate scone. Both are WONDERFUL! This is actually the cafe where LIbba Bray comes to write. She isn’t here though!

A walk through Brooklyn
Hey ya’ll!!!!
It’s our second day in New York City and we are having a blast( and yes, we are still talking to each other;-) We have spent the entirety of our day so far in Brooklyn….*sigh* Beautiful, Beautiful Brooklyn. We walked the bridge, which I had never done before, it was very cool! Then we went to the Heights, wow, is it Beautiful there! After making plans for our future lives, much of with included the Heights…haha….we took the train to Cony Island and got lunch at Nathan’s! Those were the best hot dogs I have ever had in my life. And to make things better we took lunch to the beach!
So, as some of you may know, and others of you may not have a clue, I have an obsession with picking up pennies. Now, personally, I believe that Andrew Peterson would be very proud of me, but Elizabeth just laughs EVERY time. I simply can’t help it, if I see one, I just have to pick it up, and someday I am going to thank myself fore it. So anyway, it payed off today….There is no way Eliza can say any different…haha. We were at Nathans getting lunch and the bill came out to $13.01. Yep, and guess what, Eliza didn’t have any pennies, BUT guess who did. So my, some might say foolish, habit, actually saved Elizabeth from getting $.99 in change today! I was proud. Also, I came back to our room with more money than when I left, no one can complain about that:-)

untold happenings…
I know it’s been a while, but for some reason I think of writing I seem to come up with something else to do….hmmm Not sure why that is, because it’s not for a lack of topic info.
Last week I finished the Harry Potter books. EXCELLENT if I do say so myself. I could not have been happier with the ending. I’ve been waiting for an ending as good as that ever since I read The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I was very impressed!
Also, I ready my first book by Gail Carson Levine that I did not like. I was very surprised, I always enjoy her books, but his one really was quite boring and it took me forever to get done with it. The ending was just as bad as the beginning in my opinion.
I watched Ella Enchanted yesterday when I was baby-sitting my little cousin. Once again I was struck by how much new “stuff” the writers had to create since they insisted on not following the actual story. And as usual, it ignited a desire in my very being to read the blessed and beautiful book again. Unfortunately, I loaned it to Sami and thus don’t have it at my lenience.
I spent a lot of today getting ready for my trip with Elizabeth this next week. I am so excited to get back to NYC.
Well, I’m off to read some more. This book is weird and I’m not sure if I like it or not. It’s a Christian fantasy, but it is just weird because their faith seems almost, I don’t know, just, nothing like my faith.

Tomorrow…
Just a little over 24 hrs. left until, as Rob says, I will realize that school is so much better than real life. I, however, have decided to ignore such depressing comments and be excited about the end anyway!

Mr. Diggory
I just watched The Goblet of Fire for the first time since reading the book and I really don’t like how they portrayed Cedric. Please believe I mean absolutely NOTHING against Robert Pattinson….he was the best man for the job. However, Ced, from the book just such a better person than he was in the movie. It made me really sad. But I just LOVE him so much so guess thats one of those things that I’ll never be happy with unless it is exactly right!!!! But he sure is LOVELY in the movie..hehe

I just want to ask all of you to pray for the Chapman family…I can’t imagine how overwhelming their pain must be right now…a pain that only the Lord can comfort and heal.
